This fulfilled a dream of sharing my love for reading.

Hooray, there's a new library!
We found a perfect secondhand cabinet which is painted in colours matching the beautiful mural by Pipsqueakwashere , with books for adults and children, magazines and the first cuddly toy adoption station in the Netherlands.

On 3 June 2023, the free little library was installed and with it Hartenoord had become the proud custodian of a busy mini library with very nice and engaged readers. Books were borrowed, exchanged, shared... When the locker was vandalised for several times, there were unknwown people involved who cleaned up the mess, informed the municipality and gave a helping hand. Why a mini library
With a mini library we give books a 2nd (3rd, 4th, 5th...) life together. That way we prevent waste. And we give each other a lot of pleasure with it.
